    In modern conditions of development of the pharmaceutical industry, there is a general trend to increase consumer demand for herbal medicines on the overall pharmaceutical market as an alternative treatment for alleviating several health problems including heart diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, and even certain types of cancer. Pharmacologists, microbiologists, biochemists, botanists, and natural-products chemists all over the world are currently investigating medicinal plants for phytochemicals and looking for compounds that could be developed for the treatment of various diseases. The aim of our research was preliminary phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity of plant extracts of Teucrium сhamaedrys L.
