Формування професійної мовнокомунікативної компетентності студентів-медиків засобами текстів медико-екологічної тематики в контексті сталого розвитку

Abstract

This paper examines the potential of texts focused on medical and environmental themes to foster the professional linguistic and communicative competence of medical university students within the context of education for sustainable development. It substantiates the value of using both authentic and pedagogically adapted texts addressing the impact of environmental conditions on human health, the prevention of environmentally induced diseases, occupational and personal safety, and responsible attitudes toward natural resources. The study outlines key learning activities associated with such texts: terminological analysis, work with specialized vocabulary, identification of core information, argumentation, annotation, summarizing, and the preparation of oral professional statements. The paper concludes that integrating linguistic, medical, and environmental components into the professional training of future physicians is highly beneficial.
